Thread: Huawei ideos U8150 updates+procedures

Update procedure:
Download from here that you want to install the FW
* Copy the folder in the micro SD DLOAD (with the file inside UPADATE.APP)
* From phone off, Volume + Hold down RED BUTTON UP and power button.
* start the firmware upgrade, take a few minutes and then restart the phone,is a bit slow, do not be afraid, let him work and then back on.

-Help to get into recovery mode:
down the 'volume up 'and 'green button' and then switch the device


-Guide to bootloader mode:
switch off, press and hold power button + volume down + red key

Do this work on a swedish phone you think?

i have made a big mistake and removed some system apps without backing up them with the help of an app called "System App Remover" ... i removed the "IM - the google talk" and androids own music player (as i use some other downloaded alternative better apps) but i didn't know the disadvantages of removing these apps...my ideos now gives up force close message of Android.process.media in every reboot!! and my Gallery shows EMPTY... (while alternative app "Quickpic" shows all the SD pictures..)
similarly "Meebo IM" works very well for google talk IM but the android's IM displays notification of message (but on tabbing the notification nothing happens...)


So i want to refresh my android os 2.2 , CAN I REINSTALL ANDROID ????
i have tried the factory restore option in recovery mode ...but NO LUCK

I have downloaded a firmware update for IDEOS but should updating solve my problem..??
Most IMPORTANTLY mounting usb is not working...the mobile stuck and restarts (usb was working perfectly before..).
NOTE..MY Phone is a SIM LOCKED version...(only active with 1 sim) so will UPDATING/ REINSTALLING OS (if possible?) BRICK MY PHONE OR ITS SAFE TO DO IT WITH LOCKED SIM SET ??? please quick replies to all my questions....THANKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS A LOT in Advance!!

i like to download IDEOS u 1850 FW from here. but i saw Error 500. where can i get that FW. Please help me
