A smartphone from inception of their species, lacks on one thing and that is the battery life. We have discovered some findings and facts about increasing the battery life of Huawei IDEOS X5. Read them carefully to take care of your smartphone.

Display: As we know, high brightness drain the battery. The best way to increase the battery life of your Android Smartphone is to keep your Display brightness lower as you can. The Brightness level eats major battery power after data network communication like Phone calls and 2G, 3G data transfer.

To decrease level of display brightness go to settings>> Sound & display>> brightness >> then adjust the brightness level to your comfortable level, we recommend to set the level of display brightness to lower as u can which is better for your eyes as well.

There is also a quick way to decrease and increase display brightness by adding a power control widget on your home screen where you can adjust the display brightness by just one touch. The power control widget provides three levels to set by one touch 1st fully bright display which eats the battery life faster, 2nd is medium and enough to see in the display even in sunlight, 3rd is lowest display brightness level which saves the battery life.

To add power control widget to your home screen touch and hold anywhere on your home screen clear area then select widgets>> Power control, it will add a new widget on your home screen. Tap on last icon of widget to adjusts the display brightness.

Connectivity Options: I noticed that some people forgets to turn of their Wi-Fi after using it and wastes phone’s battery life so don’t forget to turn off the Wi-Fi after uses gets over. It will prevent wasting battery life. And also try to avoid unnecessary and frequent use of Wi-Fi.

Same things applies for Bluetooth, you should not forget to turn off Bluetooth after file transfer get’s done. When Bluetooth is turned on it drains the battery a lot, so get habitual to turn off Bluetooth after using it.

You can also turn off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth from power control widget on your home screen you just added in first step.

GPS Settings: The fully featured Huawei U8800 IDEOS X5 also has GPS technology in it, If you wants to find a location OR wants to know where you are you can always turn on the GPS and get to know the location, get directions to destination. The helpful GPS technology eats your battery life as well as it help you, so never forget to turn off your GPS settings while you are not using it. you can change GPS settings from power control widget.

Notification alerts: The higher level of notifications and ringtones volume consumes the battery power more, So try to set the lower level value for notifications and ringtones volume, However it will not help a lot but saves at-least 1% battery life.

Application settings: Some applications are still running in background even you closes them, you can use Advanced task killer app to kill the background running applications, but make sure that you only kill unwanted applications and services only. Uninstall any unwanted applications from your device to free some space and it will also help to save battery life.

Multimedia Features: Remove and disable unnecessary widgets from your home screen. avoid using animated themes and wallpapers it consumes battery power a lot. You can also turn off auto rotation feature for screen as it uses the battery life a most to sense the possession of device. Auto rotation uses accelerometer and if the usage is restricted then it can help in increasing battery life.

Sync settings: Turn off auto-sync for your account on your Huawei U8800 IDEOS X5 it consumes battery life as it uses the data connectivity to sync your emails, calender, contacts etc. you can turn off the auto-sync by tapping on second last icon of power control widget, the green light below the icon shows the status of auto-sync on-off status, make sure it goes off after you tap on it.
