Well looks like drivers or not there is no way other than having to buy the furiousgold box to unlock the ZTE f160 with pack5 which at the current price of $160 it would be absolutely silly since the ZTE f160 I got was about $12 and a new unlocked phone can be had for far less than $160, especially one with the simple options that the ZTE f160 offers.

My question is, has anyone found a way to unlock this GD phone for free or is there a reasonable company that would charge $3~$5 for an unlock code?

The charges I've found go to min. $25 to $35 and up which is complete idiocy since I can find unlocked GSM phones for less than $50 on ebay and craigslist without having to go through the hassle of trying to unlock this phone. Any help will be much appreciated.

well freakqnc - This is driver thread, however if you wish to unlock this handset, you don't need to buy Furious-Gold dongle cause it is for professionals and that money can't recovered by 2-5 phones. Moreover, Furious-Gold is multi purpose unlocker and software solution. Also keep in mind, FG dongle need annually recharge of 60 Euro approx, So better consult another unlocking guy in your area that may be do thing cheaper for you.

Sorry for the off topic post and thanks so much for the tip. Sadly those who are selling unlock services in the price ranges I mentioned earlier are clearly smoking crack or something heavier ;P since paying that much for a $10 phone would be pure idiocy so for their greed they will get nothing... surely they'll keep those prices as they are now, but I won't foster delusional practices. I may follow your advice and look for someone willing to do it for a reasonable price or I will donate this cell to get an unlocked one I can use avoiding all this hassle altogether. Thanks again!
