    Default How to Hard Reset HTC One X

    Read Warning First:Factory reset permanently deletes all your data and customized settings, and removes any applications you’ve downloaded or installed. Be sure to back up any data and files you want to keep before you do a factory reset.

    Resetting your HTC One X to Factory Settings


    • Slide the Notifications panel open, and then tap to settings .
    • Tap Backup & reset.
    • Tap Reset phone.
    • If you wish to permanently delete media and other data on HTC One X, tap Erase all data.
    • Tap Reset phone, and then tap OK.



    Performing a factory reset using hardware buttons

    If you can’t turn HTC One X on or access settings, you can still perform a factory reset by using the hardware buttons on HTC One X.

    Follow this simple procedure



    • Press and hold the VOLUME DOWN button, and then press and hold the POWER button.
    • Wait for the screen with the three Android images to appear, and then release the POWER and VOLUME DOWN buttons.
    • Press VOLUME DOWN to select FACTORY RESET, and then press the POWER button.

    Default How to Soft Reset HTC One X

    If HTC One X is running slower than usual or is nonresponsive, or has an app that is not performing properly, try rebooting and see if that helps solve the problem.



    • If the display is off, press the POWER button to turn it back on.
    • Unlock the display.
    • Press and hold the POWER button, and then tap Restart.
    • When asked to confirm, tap Restart.
